PTVES wants to remind everyone that whenever you change you clocks you should also change the batteries in you smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Residents should also test their detectors once a week if possible. Don't have a smoke detector? You can pick up a simple battery operated smoke detector at stores like Wal-Mart and Lowe's or just about anywhere else. Can't afford one, need help installing it? Residents of Penn Township are entitled to a FREE smoke detector and/or installation by the fire department. Residents can also schedule an in home fire safety inspection for no cost.
